Each hand woven basket features carry handles bound in sustainably-sourced leather.
Each Ghanaian baby basket takes three days to weave. Weavers work with robust veta vera grasses which are indigenous to Northern Ghana, whilst the leather used around the basket's handles is a by-product of the food industry.
Producing these ethical Moses baskets brings a valuable second income to the weavers, whose livelihoods depend largely on the unpredictable nature of farming. Weaving takes place during the dry seasons when work is scarce.
It must be noted that these baskets are not carrying devices and should only be used on the floor or on a flat surface when baby is inside.
Suitable from birth until approx. 3 to 4 months (or until your baby can sit up unaided)
